How does it work?

Our Smart Tag sits inside your Findr tag, ensuring it is fully protected for all of your pets adventures. It’s not a GPS tracker — instead, it uses nearby smart phone devices to show you a general idea of where your pet’s location was last registered. Think of it as a way to narrow your search, so you're not wasting time looking in the wrong place.

Simply download the Find My app for iOS, or the Find My Device app for Android, activate your tag, link it to your phone, and you're all set!

  • No - Find My for iPhone or Find My Device for Android are preloaded on to your smart phone.

  • This battery will last around 8 months, potentially longer. It depends how often you are using all the features, as naturally, more usage reduces battery life.

  • This tag uses the iPhone or Android network for location, so every time your pet is near someone with a phone it will update location. I works will in highly populated areas, but it is less effective in remote areas eg if they are on a beach in winter with no phones nearby.

  • Simply use a pin to lever the smart tag out, and use the battery replacement key to open the tag and replace the battery. You can by CR2032 batteries at your standard retail outlets.
