This page will help you set up your Smart Tag, and also navigate any issues that may arise.
⚠️ Important: Activate your Smart Tag before inserting it into the Findr Tag
Please note: This tag is not a GPS tracker and does not provide live tracking. Instead, it uses Bluetooth signals and the Google Find Hub network to help identify your pet’s approximate location when within range of nearby Android devices. When your pet is lost, nearby Android devices can securely detect the Smart Tag and update its last known location in your Find Hub app. This means that if your pet is in a remote area, the location will be less accurate.
Performance may vary depending on your location and environment.

6. Lost Mode
If your Smart Tag is lost, mark it as lost in Find Hub. You’ll receive a notification when the location becomes available.
7. Location Sharing
To share the tag with another person, open the device in Find Hub and tap Share Device.
8. Unknown Tracker Alerts
If your Android phone detects an unfamiliar device moving with you, you’ll receive a notification. This helps deter unwanted tracking.
9. Privacy First
Your location data is end-to-end encrypted — even Google cannot view or access it. Only you can see where your items are. Google does not use or share your data, ensuring full confidentiality.
